数年前に知人により書かれた東芝製品（パソコン）に対する苦情の英文です。暇な時に解読してみてください。（Windows 95 の他社外付けCD-ROM認識に関するもの）
“Can you pay for ‘TOSHIBA’ $400US ? “ By **********
Before writing, I would like to introduce myself. I am a user of Toshiba portable computers either office or my house because I am an engineer. Last October, I bought the first (DynaBook 2550S), at the same moment my company decided to buy the same machines based on my opinion. We are too much favorite in this one. By the way, at the lunch time rest, usually I am taking a walk near by my office. This February I found a new product by Toshiba which is very small size portable computer (DynaBook SS 3410). This product seems excellent for my business so, the next day I bought it about $2,000US. I satisfied all of qualities in it without CD-Rom-Driver because it was written that this machine can’t use another maker’s. This is a problem for me because I have many CD-Rom-Drivers which for DVD-machine, CD-RW or normal CD-Rom-Driver. Therefore immediately I ask to the customers center, how to fit a CD-Rom drive’s when we need reinstall ‘Windows-98’ or for new operating systems like ‘Linax’ ? However, the answer is only we can use ‘ TOSHIBA’ because another makers use different systems. One responsible person said to me “You may good to buy Toshiba’s which only $400US (with tax)” I wonder, I can’t believe these explanations as a computer engineer. So, few hours later, finally I found a part of files which is written by MS-Dos. It is said that we can take many of another makers. I surprised and got angry why the responsible told to me like this lie ? If the customer who don’t has a knowledge about MS-Dos, he has to pay for Toshiba $400US. when they want to use a CD-dictionary, or want play in the game soft. I won’t have such conduct and fed up these unfair treating. How do you think about my problem ? Who is wrong ? Thanks your reading, but I am not good at English. Caution ! “Toshiba make nothing of telling lie.” As you know well, TOSHIBA ever pay for much money in the US society when they make a downright lie the last year but this time they seems to learn again ,isn’t it ? If you must buy CD-Rom Driver from Toshiba, please contact to me, I will give you how to save the money. (Don’t read my information, if you are millionaire ! )
